An abaya that fits perfectly is not a luxury. It is the whole point. Let us help you get there.
Before you measure
Lebashub abayas are designed to fit generously — they are not meant to be fitted or body-hugging. The ideal abaya has 2–4 inches of ease at the bust, flows past the hips, and reaches close to the floor. This is both the modesty requirement and the silhouette that drapes most beautifully in Nida fabric.
If you are between sizes, size up. A slightly larger abaya drapes more elegantly and is more modest. A slightly smaller abaya pulls at the shoulders and restricts movement. When in doubt, go up.
How to measure yourself (2 minutes)
Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Stand in your normal posture — no sucking in, no shoulders back. Measure in your underwear or a thin underlayer for the most accurate result.
Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it parallel to the floor. Do not pull it tight — there should be room to breathe.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline — this is the narrowest part of your torso, usually about an inch above your belly button.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approximately 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
Height: Stand straight without shoes, against a wall. Mark the wall and measure from floor to mark.

Height and length guide
Lebashub abayas are cut to reach approximately 1–2 inches from the floor on a model at 5ft 5in. Here is how length adjusts across heights:
- Under 5ft 2in: Our abayas will likely reach the floor or pool slightly. This is a beautiful look — or size down one size if you prefer it shorter.
- 5ft 2in to 5ft 6in: The ideal fit range for our standard sizing — floor-grazing with a small clearance.
- 5ft 6in to 5ft 9in: The abaya will sit slightly higher on the leg — still modest, elegant, and appropriate.
- Over 5ft 9in: Please email us before ordering at hello@lebashub.com — we can advise on which styles work best for taller frames.
