Modesty & Faith — Why Lebas Hub Exists

Our Foundation

Modesty, the Way It Was Meant to Feel

In Islam, modesty (hayaa) is not a restriction — it is a form of dignity. Covering the body with intention is described in the Qur'an as both a protection and an act of grace: “O Children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment… and the clothing of righteousness — that is best.” (Surah Al-A'raf, 7:26)

For many Muslim women, the abaya is more than a garment. It is a daily, visible expression of faith — worn for prayer, for work, for Jummah, for Eid, and for the ordinary errands in between. It deserves to be made with the same care a woman gives to that choice every single day.

What This Means for How We Build

We are not scholars, and we don't claim religious authority. We are a small team that takes the responsibility of clothing this part of someone's faith seriously. That shapes practical decisions:

  • Full opacity, always. Every fabric is tested in direct sunlight before it goes into production — modesty shouldn't depend on the weather.
  • Coverage that holds up in motion. Sleeve length, hemlines, and necklines are designed for how a woman actually moves — in salah, at work, carrying groceries, sitting on the floor at a family gathering.
  • No performative “modest-coded” marketing. We don't use modesty as an aesthetic. We build for it as a lived requirement, every single time.

A Brand Built by the Community, for the Community

Lebas Hub is Muslim-owned, based in Minnesota. We are not an outside brand selling into the Muslim American community — this is our community. That's why questions about fit, fabric, or faith get answered by someone who actually understands what's being asked, not a script.

We welcome respectful questions about our approach. Email us at hublebas@gmail.com. For matters of religious ruling, we always encourage consulting a qualified scholar — we speak only to how we build, not to matters of fiqh.
